That's a beautiful bike you've got there. Good job on the build. With regard to the missing decals/ badge, I could be wrong, but I think that you can go directly to Litespeed now owned by American Bicycle Group and they should be able to help you.

    Howdy Folks,
I am a VRC guy but I thought I would ask help from the Litespeed experts.
I just picked up this Litespeed and I am trying to figure out the year.
I think early 90's, say 91, but I can't seem to find a photo or info on the web.
    Any help would be great.
    Cheers,
    Lawrence

I have a 1999 Unicoi also that I picked up a few months ago. Where can I find info on how to maintain or adjust the rear suspension - is there a manual available or similar?

    Thanks!

I haven't run across a manual but the old catalogs are at
    http://www.litespeed.com/archives/lscatalog1998.pdf
    http://www.litespeed.com/archives/lscatalog1999.pdf

The 98 catalogue says it's a interchangeable coil spring. Reviewers on this site also said that you could replace the stock spring with a stiffer spring & elastomer insert.

I've been told I don't have to do anything with it.

The Unicoi slider looks very similar to the MOOTS YBB. They say the slider has to be replaced about every 2-3 years depending on the amount of mileage and conditions
(wet, muddy) the bike has encountered. Parts can be ordered through your local Moots dealer or direct from the Moots web site.

Are the replacement parts compatible? If so - you might purchase them from MOOTs directly?

Cool - I have one of these - 1991 Litespeed/CBO Fat Bastard. I've got a Spicer ti fork on it, and it's set up as a SS with an ENO eccentric rear hub.

This frame was hanging over the door of a small bike shop in Davis, WV. Spotted it while on a MTBing vacation.

    Does Macalu count?

I got a 2002 (I think?) Macalu frame for my wife, made by Litespeed for Excel Sports. Converted to a hardtail SS. It's a 14" frame, which is why it "looks" like a 29er.

    1990 Merlin Mongoose Tomac Signature

    Here's my baby.
Mike Augspurger One-Off Ti fork, Ti bars, Onza Ti bar-ends, Grafton cranks, Ringle QRs, Flite Ti saddle, Grafton Ti spindle pedals, Ti spokes, Ti cog set, Ti bolts wherever they could be placed. Had swapped a Mag 21 with Ti stanchions and steerer for the One-Off fork but can't remember where that went. Should put the Smoke Lite tires back on - nothing better for the Northeast.

    Litespeed Obed Part Deuax

Just finished rebuilding my old LiteSpeed Obed into my first SS. It is good to give the old bike a second life. The SS is a blast to ride. The old frame still has lots of life left in it and will get use now as an SS. Here are some pics of the project, still making some minor tweaks, but it is already rideable and getting some miles.

A little off topic, but that car is a blast. Took my brother-in-law's 2002 M5 up to 140 about a year ago and it was still smooth and quiet.

Nice ride. If it has a serial number on the bottom bracket you can try to contact Litespeed. They should be able to determine what model and year it is from that number.
