New question here. pisgah disc adapter?

I have a 01 pisgah w/o disc tabs. I saw the adapter on the litespeed site. Has anyone tried or use it ? If so is it worth it?
    thanks

Hello there We are a Litespeed dealer. My advice to you is to think hard about that one not a big fan of bolt on adapters like that I would recomend that you take it to your Litespeed dealer or give us a call and have it sent in and a new hanger welded on in its place. Litespeed can do this for a nominal fee I know some shops will do this for cost plus shipping, some wont.

Nominal fee? Litespeed quoted my husband apprx $500 to weld on a new hanger. The rep he talked to implied that they really don't want to do it and had priced it as such to discourage. He is using the adaptor, and although he had some trouble with it at first, is now satisfied. (on his 2001or '02 Tanasi)

I have put front disc only on my '96 Obed and am happy with the set up.

That is the same response I received when I e mailed litespeed reguarding that. It was a crazy price he gave me. When I looked at it it would be cheaper to sell my frame and pick up an airborne. Thanks for the input on the adapter also, maybe I'll try it and see what happens!!

I used one for 2 years on my Pisgah

Unfortunately some dirty M'fr stole it and is now either riding it or pawned it for drug money.
While I had it, I had nary a problem. Get one, you won't regret it.

$500 to weld on tabs is way toooo much.

Give Gene of Spicers Cycles a call.
He has welded on Ti disc tab mounts for as little as $150 and $40 for steel frames.

Here is his page describing this process
