Old ('96) Merlin Frame Bent!
Anyone out there know where in the SFBay area I can get my frame
back into alignment? It's a Taiga, off by around 6mm. I'm in the East bay.
BTW, I've heard that ABC isn't that great a co. to work with on old
Merlin frames, so I would like to get somebody local to get the work
done.

Any builder with an alignment table can do the deed. Even some pro shops have alignment tables. Only difference, you need a longer pry lever. You've got to bend to pretty far to exceed its yield point, and with a normal pry lever you just flex the frame and it springs back to where it was. Aligning a ti frame is just like aligning a steel one, only you need more muscle to do it.

OK, that's something to go on
bulC,
Thanks for the input. I do believe that there is a frame builder
in the Hayward or Oakland area. I'll contact them.
Thanks again,
