OK to hit drops on an ST?

    Hello,

I purchased an old 2001 Unicoi ST recently and am wondering if it's generally ok to take some drops and jumps on it?

The bike is intended to be mostly light commuter / rides with kids / flowy buffed singletrack but I like it so much I'm wondering about taking it to more involved terrain

    Thanks!

OK, my own response, in case someone else is wondering:

The bike is a lot of fun on smooth singletrack and a good climber (as I expected). Seems OK to do drops up to say 2 feet, and also jumps depending on the landing. My back wheel (Mavic CrossMax) went out of true, not sure when and how, could be from a crash.

However, riding some blue FR runs on the Litespeed is definitely harder with the steep head tube angle, 100 mm front + 25mm tail suspension. Landings feel twitchier than on my FR bike and it's harder to keep traction.
