    Merlin 5.25

Any input on the merlin 5.25?

There is very limited reviews about this bike on the net.

I'm looking at this or the Moots cinco.

i posted this review a while back...
    Merlin 5.25

PROS - TITANIUM!!! i like the bike. its really plush thanks to the new fox rear shock. its a strong solid frame. Ive rode it really hard. with a good set up this bike is GREAT. bottom bracket is really high, 14.1" this means that you can ride over almost any rock garden sitting down. it wont leave you dead at the end of a long epic ride.

CONS - $3,500 FOR THE FRAME ALONE!!! bottom bracket height is really really high, 14.1". when your on this thing you tower over the rest of the group. it takes getting used to to get on the bike.

overall its a great bike, fun to ride and you know your going to be the only one with that bike. moots is a really good brand, it has great (if not the best) reviews on mtbr for ti bikes. but the 5.25 is really beefy and built for hard abusive riding. either choice is a wise choice.

    hope this helps.
