    Sewanee

Just got mine built. Small Sewanee LS with 85MM in the rear and 100MM in the front. Bike is smooth and quiet. I don't think you want to huck the bike of 3 foot drops but the suspension is effecient, great cross country machine.

It's a LS, but I thought it was "only" 80 mm.
I still can't decide between the SS and the LS, coming from a Dean Duke ST with about 30mm.
Is there more differences than than rear travel? They don't give a lot of info on their page.

    Sewanee LS

Per Litespeed the Long Stroke 2008 Sewanee is about 100MM on the medium, medium large and large. The small is just over 80MM. The rear triangle now has a pivot down by the chain stay and seat stay. I believe the short stroke does not have this pivot but I am not 100% sure. Also, I think they improved the bushing and bearings on all pivot locations. I have the XT package with a FOX RL setup at 100MM

Litespeed is offering since 2007 the Sewanee in short and long stroke options (60 or 80 mm), well that is what I thought until Berlin wrote about having 85 mm in his LS.

For me it came down to fit the Litespeed has a bit longer top tube which makes a big differance for me. I am more comfy over all. Ride quality is very similar...Even though the Litespeed has less travel: 60mm Vs. 80 on my old fuel. The Litespeed feels like it has more travel than 60mm. It is very plush for a short travel. Feels like it has 3 inches!

    Both are great bikes!

    weight of rider on sewanee

Is there a limit with regard to rider weight on the sewanee frame. I'm 175 pounds and am interested to know if anybody thinks (or knows) if frame flex would be a detrimental influence on suspension performance. thanks stu

I managed a good deal through one of our LBS, just to learn that Litespeed is not offering V-brake option since last year I see yours is V, so, where?? please.

Could you please show a closeup of your frame brake cablestops, I got a demo frame with V-brake studs, but not the regular cablestops, looks similar to yours, so just wondering how you installed your rear brake cable.
