    Litespeed chainstays

Anybody find that their crank arms come awfully close to their Niota Al chainstays? I put a chainstay protector on and the crank actually touches it on the backstroke. I have Race Face Atlas cranks with the X-type bottom bracket. I kind of worry since it seems like it wouldn't take much flex on a hard turn to actually move it towards the crank. Thanks.

I've got a Niota and just put a Truvativ GXP crankset on (external bearings). The clearances btween the crank arms and chainstays are pretty tight but workable. The Niota BB shell is 68mm so the GXP BB included spacers (basically two extra washers between the bearings and the shell). Don't know if your crankset is 68mm specific but omitting the spacers would definitely decrease the chainstay clearance on mine.

it shouldn't be the bike. i have a lizard skin on mine and the new XTR crank still doesn't come too close.
