I have a 2001 Unicoi that I'm converting to disc brakes. It has the caliper tabs at the rear and also has two sections of open tubing welded to the rear stay for routing the brake line...except how do I get the brake line into these with out major disassembly?
I was thinking of cutting them so that I can to pry them open to get the brake line in and then squeezing them shut...or is Ti too brittle for that?
Another thought is grinding out a section so the brake line will fit in and then cutting in two slots where the tube meets the frame for a tie wrap.
How have others dealt with this? i plan to use 'Problem Solver' adapters along the top tube and I guess I could adapt them for the rear stay.
