Pardon my ignorance on this, but I assume the 15 narrows the beams into more of a spot for the helmet and the 45 spreads it out for the bar? What angle are the stock optics?

I believe it was speculated that the stock lenses were 15, but their not marked so no way to tell for sure. The original ad stated they were 60 degree, but we know that to not be true. Optics also have a less defined cutoff so you can't really compare to a reflector like the 808's 10 degree.

@KVW... Yes, that's the one. The original lens are also plastic. No melting issues and been using them since Dec.

The stock lens looks something in between the 15 and 25 deg lens from leddna. The stock are definitely not 60 deg. The lens are cheap enough that I bought 10, 15, 25, 45, 60 degrees. For me the 15 and 45 degree combo worked the best.

So the 45 has a noticeable impact on the "spread" of the beam for bar use?

45 degree has more spill but the throw is short. Definitely recommend the 45 deg if using bar/helmet 2 light combo. 25 degree is the best compromise for throw and spill. Better for single light application.
