USB charging while light is running?

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but after some forum searching I did not come up with anything. So, I'm wondering if any of the 700ish lumen all-in-one lights can be charged while they are running to extend run time. Charging would be from either a dynamo hub or a simple AA USB charger. I'm looking at lights from Niterider, Light and Motion, Lyzene, etc. I've shot out a couple of emails to the manufacturers but have not heard back. If anyone has info or a link to another discussion it would be much appreciated.

Post #5 of this thread says a Lezyne will not run while being charged......

Will an external battery work for an all-in-one light?

It's going to depend on the light and how they set it up. You'll need to take this up with each manufacturer independently.

I'd also bet that in most cases, pure USB would not power the light but just cause the battery to drop slower. USB is specced at 5V 0.5A but some of the chargers for phones will do 1A or 2.1A.
