    TustFire TR-801 has arrived

I ordered 4 TrustFire TR-801 5-Mode torches from DX. Two for the handlebars and two for the helmet mount.

Having two on the helmet is a little heavy. Using only one might be sufficient and having the second in the backpack as backup.

It will be a while before I get to test them out on the trails. But doing a quick dark room test yielded impressive results. Having the light on high setting is supposed to last up to
2.5 hours. Using the medium setting should last much longer than that.

    Here's what I ordered

    - SKU 15335. Trustfire Torch Light x4
    - SKU 01251. Charger
    - SKU 03287. 18650 Batteries (2-pak) x3
    - SKU 12000. Helmet mount x2
    - SKU 31871. Handlebar mount x2

Try attaching them directly to the helmet with inner tube the higher they get the heavier they'll feel and the more branch strikes you'll get.

Power wise the WF501b's or a's with the R2 XP-E push a spot out for head useage much further than a 801, the A10B on DX is similar in size and slightly more grunt to.

Still out perform for the money all store bought light systems though

Do you have the SKU for the WF501?

I prefer this A10B to the 801's, if you want a similar size, maybe tad heavier.

Then I'm using the emmitor out of this on my head ( swapped it with a 501a body as it's lighter )

Thats a serious thrower, unscrew / screw in the Pill to the Reflector to change how much spot you want.

How much did you spend for everything?
I think I'm not as good as I thought.
