New question here. TriNewt battery died, what should I do...

Unit is around 3-4 years old. Does NiteRider have any pro rated replacement program? Is there an aftermarket battery that will work?

    Thanks, T

you might get more help if you post this in the DIY lights forum..

either way, you can cut/ prise open the battery and replace the cells easily enough, as long as it's the cells that are the problem. What are the symptoms? Is it no longer working at all? Does the status light on the battery come on? Does the light come on but with a much shorter run time?

    Hey Mr. Frost,

Indebt is correct we have a very good Trade-In program, we'll give you $100 trade-in for your dead Trinewt. (we will give it a dignified burial)

Indebt and a few other guys here can tell you all about how the Baja Designs Strykr works and whatnot, so I'll leave that to them.

Our systems also come with a lifetime warranty on everything but the battery which has a two year warranty. My email is Shannon@BajaDesigns.com if you'd like to know more.

    Have a good one!

    Shannon

Hey I am new and saw your post. You can get your niterider batteries rebuilt for $50.00. They work great....search voltmanbatteries online. They can even put in NIMH cells with 3300MAH for a little more.

    new battery

I think you can get a new one from Niterider. They have batteries for older lights. They even have one for my old blowtorch. I have a tri newt. Great light.

it'd be more cost effective to buy a new light than buy a replacement battery from Niterider
