Travelling with lights on commercial flights?

hello I am flying out to Utah to ride and was hoping to ride a night or two.
Are there any restrictions with taking batteries on commercial flights? Does anyone know if you have to pack them in your carry on or a checked bag?

No issues. Generally, the most that they ask is that the batteries are in a plastic bag so that the contacts can't become inadvertently shorted. You can carry them on but expect to have them want to take a look at them after they go through the X-ray scanner.

Generally packing in carry on is best.
