Anyone have one of these chargers? I was wondering if it is safer (and/or better for your battery packs) than the standard wall-wart charger that comes with Magicshine / clone lights.
That is very similar to the charger I have supplied when I sell one of my lights and so far they have been pretty good. The only thing I have had happen with them was when charging a 14.8V pack. The battery PCB would occasionally stop the charge before the charger thought it was done. I think the PCB was a bit too low on the overcharge protection voltage because the pack voltage was right at 16.8V. The only thing that happened in those times was the charger light will always show that it was charging.
Oh, BTW they are not real fast. Depending on your pack capacity it will take 4 to 8 hrs for a full charge.
