    Taz1200 on a helmet

I'm really liking what i see and read on this light but I would only be using it on my helmet for trail riding amd am a little worried about the weight. I run my mount a little more to the rear of the helmet and am thinking (hoping) that running it this way would negate any feeling of the helmet being front weighted and make it feel stable and centered, albeit heavier than my current Seca 800.

Anyone running one this way and if so what do you think? Pics?

I'd try it first if you can. I held one at my local shop recently and I thought it was heavy. It looks like a nice bar light, but I wouldn't consider it for a helmet mount. Stick with a wire to a battery in your pack or jersey.

    Good luck

I have the Taz800, which is basically the same. I think it would be too heavy and I think with it's down in front beam shaping you'd find it distracting. IMO, a tighter beam is better on the helmet.
