    Custom Exposure mount

There are 2 issues you will run across when trying to use an Exposure light mount on a POC Trabec helmet. Luckily they are both very easy to solve.

    1) The lower mounting washer on the Exposure light is too small and gets pulled thru (or into) the EPS foam of the helmet. If you are going to make a larger washer to fit there are 2 requirements. 1) That the plastic bolt remain recessed so that it does not make contact with your scalp. and 2 that the washer that you use is flexible enough to confirm to the inside shape of the helmet.

Solution: Go to TAP plastics and have them cut you a washer out of thin polycarbonate. I can tell you from experience trying to fabricate something out of plastic without proper tools is gonna be a headache. It was worth the $6.00 they charged me.

    2) Because the top middle vent is slightly recessed, it is difficult to aim the light forward enough for steep fast downhills where you have your seat down and are looking up and forward.

Solution: Went to hardware store and bought a sprinkler gasket and trimmed it with a x-acto knife to fit between the top washer and the helmet. The light now has full range of motion and the paint on the helmet is protected by the rubber washer.
