"new and improved battery"-- MS 900 MJ-808 ??

forgive me if this has been covered in another thread. obvious newb here trying to upgrade his old-ass light set. this board has been super informative (and largely over my head)

Curious if anyone has any thoughts on this:

is it "new and improved," like it wont blow up in your face?

anyone purchased anything from these guys before?

Everyone who resells the MS lights claim they are improved, higher quality units.

Not many claim a usual retail of 160 though!

    # New Improved Battery: 418650 Li-ion battery ( 8.4V 4.4AH)
    # Battery life: 500 times cycle yeah right sure believe this one
    # Charging time: 3-3.5 hours
    # Waterproof grade: IP64
    # Size: 4352MM
defiantly not the same specs of the old battery IE old is 7.4v

curious if these are legit or some POS that magicshine threw together to sell a few more lights

This is the standard MS battery. I believe the "8.4V" is the theoretical peak voltage fresh off of the charger and normal for all 7.4v Li-ion batteries.

Improved does not necessarily mean the problem was fixed.

I got the same deal on Nova Bike Lights off ebay plus the helmet mount was inculded. W/O helmet mount $89.90 + ship. I also got a spare "new" battery for $38 plus ship.
