Ive got two set sets of magic shine clones with the xml T6 less.
Ive taken mine apart and gone over them thoroughly.
Some things to keep in mind.
The clones use a thicker non temper glass lens 2x thick as the magicshines lens.
The reflectors on my clones are much heavier and designed with heatsink fins)
As opposed to the very thin OP reflector the MJ's use.
I used clear silicone to seal wear the wire enters the housing, around the power button and and the battery packs.
I added arctic silver heatsink compound to all the contact surfaces also added zip tie to keep the wire from being able to ripped out from the head unit on one of them that was missing.
On high setting using as headlamp they do get quite warm, on low they barely get warm.
While riding barely warm on high setting.
I normally run a smooth reflector spot on my helmet and and wide angle on my bars.
With this setup Ive been riding in North vancouver super tight bushes to the elbows single track and it works excellent.
I just bought a new one as well for helmet use coming soon it looks more compact has an OP reflector and the the new U2 batch of xmls which are more efficient and brighter.
1SET HI MAX Bicycle Light Headlamp Cree XML U2 1200 Lumen 3 Mode Waterproof Bike Front Light LED HeadLight 8.4v 4800mAh Battery-in Bicycle Light from Sports & Entertainment on Aliexpress.com
I also have just received 2 more wide angle lens and an orange peel reflector from action leds.com to play with. If you put two reflectors inthe MJ clones at right angles your get a nice Square 30x30 degree spot light.
I will post some beam shots as well of the new one when it arrives.
