New question here. How to repair a 3.7V light, plugged into an 8.4V battery pack?

Duh me, mistakenly plugged in a 3.7V lamp into an 8.4V battery pack.

Very bright then the smell of something burning.

So is there a way to repair the lamp?

    - TX

P.S. Apparently the lamp lacked "overvoltage protection".
