Difference between the Niterider Pro 600/1200 and the 700/1400

Anyone know the difference between the Pro 600/1200 series and the new 700/1400 series (other than 100/200 lumens). I bought a 600 last year.

most likely a different bin was released that has more output. You can change the LED yourself if you dare take it apart.

According to the NR rep at Interbike last September, the LED hasn't' changed. He said upgraded circuitry, which to me means they're just driving the LED a bit harder.

Main differences are improved connectors on the 700/1400. Don't come undone easily like the ones on the 600/1200. The connectors are a bit different so they are not really compatible (in a pinch they are but not very reliable).

Updated programming software has to be used for the 700/1400. The old software won't work on the new lights, but the new software works on the old lights.

The 1400 now has fiber optic indicators on the top of the light head to show which beam is on (or if both are on). The 700 does not have this.

I want to say one of the reflectors on the 1400 looked just a bit different than on the 1200, but I am not certain. I'll have to look again.

That's about it. Skip the 600/1200 and go for the new ones for the connectors alone.
