Haven't tried the Turbo 800,, but I have read some feedback from some who have. First the light is powerful but has a narrow beam with a good hot spot which will give the light some punch. I had the Triden-X 600 I purchased in 2009 and it is still going strong with the original battery so the quality should be there with the Turbo 800 as well.

My conclusion is that most would say this light would be best suited as a helmet light as this is what I think most night riders seem to look for in a helmet light other than lumens and UI. I think this light would be to narrow as a designated bar light for most tastes. Cheers!!

One thing I forgot to mention, is what type of riding do you do most. If it's very fast single track, the Turbo 800 will give you one of the best range that an 800 lumen light can give with it's reflector. If you ride a little more technical single track for example with switchbacks, roots/rocks, where your not at full speed I personally prefer a light that uses an optic instead of a reflector. This gives you a much more broad and even beam spread without a hot spot. This type of light is found for example in the Gloworm X-1, or the Gemini Xera. The only down side is you would loose a little range but not lots. Sorry if i'm complicating things. Cheers!!

On our MEC website it looks like both the helmet mount and long cable is not included. Check with who ever you are dealing with to make sure your getting what you want. Cheers!!
