    Budget light?

Looking for suggestions on a budget light, something $50 or less. Mostly interested in front, but if anyone wants to suggest back lights as well, I am interested in them as well.

    Thanks

So many options. How many lumens? How long are your rides? The battery is hit and miss when buying less expensive lights. You can get a nice battery pack for 35-45$.

What type of riding will you be doing? Road? Off-road/singletrack?

Most of the riding that I will be doing at night would be road riding.

I would pick up one of the Solar Storm X2s off of amazon for this purpose.

Just curious what your answer would be if night singletrack riding had been his answer?? I have an old cygolight that has halogen lights and a crappy battery pack that only lasted about 30 minutes in the cold last winter; but will last a couple hours in the summer.

I'm going to need a new trail light that will work for winter fatbiking and fall rides; but money is tight. Thanks for the suggestions.

For trails, just add a second one so you have one on helmet and one on the bar.

... or some of the 7-UPs - wide beam, ~36W drawn from the battery (might be 28-30W to the leds).

Are they really waterproof? The lights on my commuter do get wet.
