    Best helmet light ?

Any thoughts? I use the Diablo. No wires or external batteries. Not greatest run time but optional piggyback helps.

    And it is very light.

I will go - Magicshine 808 (P7). Works great, never failed me, and it was $80. Will run for longer than I usually ride.

gloworm X1 would get my vote.

Great light, reasonably light allows you to mount it in the front of your helmet lots of light, descent run time.

    Jetlites f-u2. NO CABLES!!!

And you can change batteries during the trip. 2 batteries give over 3 hours of run time.

I run a Diablo also. I ride with it on medium and have never had trouble with runtime, but then again, my night rides last about two hours.

I run the ultrafire 501b torch up top with a few extra spare batteries.

    St cycler

I have been using the Jetbeam ST Cycler for over a year now every weeks during our 2 hours+ single track MTB night ride. 425lumen out of an XLM T6 for around 2 hours, does me nicely.
The light is relatively cheap in comparison to the dedicated cycling helmet lights. The ST Cycler is very streamline, making it less prone for catching on branches and is also pretty light 70gr plus the battery. I am now running it with some Panasonic 3100mah batteries which does give me the high lumens for longer! I do find that the type of battery you use will have a big effect on runtime.
