With the correction of the XML vs. the misquoted XPG then Bajas numbers are right in line but at the hairy edge of the emitter, no conservative implementation there, and this doesn't consider thermal derating which can't be proved w/o an actual unit to test. I am just so wary of claims these days, so many companies lie.

Thanks, no worries, I have enjoyed the whole discussion plus I learned quite a bit about the XM-L. (Geez, that sounds like the end of a G.I. Joe cartoon)

    Thanks for the addition Francois.

Sorry, not a fan of social networks. In any case you state:

My scalded retina confirm that this is indeed not the case. Both LEDs actually light up simultaneously in all power modes, Low, Med & High.

VERY nice review. I've been waiting for that one. Unfortunately, there's no comment area, just some sort of facebook thingy.

Thanks for that! My Double Strykr is in the mail, and that part of the review got me a bit worried.

Yep, true story, both LEDs do continue burning brightly in all of the various power settings. The system is much more effective with both the wide and spot going all of the time, that way there is no compromise out on the trail. This also negates the 1.5hr burn time, very, very rarely do you "need" 150 Lux worth of light (of course "need" is a very subjective word when it comes to lighting), generally Medium (3hrs of burntime) and Low (6hrs) are perfectly effective. I have attended three 24hr and one 12hr race with the new Double Stryk being used out on the race course and not once has anyone had an issue with burn time. Usually there are nothing but smiles rolling back into the pits.

The review was great! Thank you Francois!

Thanks for putting that up Francois, it is awesome!! The only correction I have is that both sides of the light (wide angle and spot) both remain lit in High, Medium, and Low, the system is much more effective that way.

    Anyway, thanks again!
