    Vision Stick Battery Replacement

    Hi,

I've got a vision stick light set with 2 of the attached batteries. I'm after some recommendations of cheaper replacements for these and possibly with longer run time.
I could possibly do something DIY if it was easy enough.

    See image for specs.

I've entered my first enduro in march '11 and need some extra run time.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Simon

You can DIY something fairly inexpensive with close to double the capacity on those Vista sticks. I don't know what shipping would be or what you have locally down under but these are a good deal in the States:

    HR-4/3AU SALE
    WITH Solder Tabs
    Limited Supply Sanyo Ni-MH 4000 55 $ 4.00 Buy
    http://www.batterystation.com/nicads.htm

Slightly higher capacity is available at double the price.

Vista uses a standard cable like this one:

or you can reuse the old cable.

Then again, you might consider a new DIY LED light.

    Thanks Homebrew,

I was thinking about a DIY light but didn't want too big a build before March. Would the battery pack that I'm thinking of building be suitable for a DIY LED light? What light would you recommend for a first build.

    Regards,

    Simon
