    Very Cheap battery protection?

I am not a RC person but I recently purchased a balance battery charger from an RC car website. While poking around I noticed a potentially nifty little gadget.

    Also a similar one here

Now I wonder how hard it would be to modify it so instead of triggering a buzzer it disconnected the load. The led indicators leading up to the buzzing are in them selves probably enough. Any one try one of these?

Now that i am building packs according the yetibetty method all I would have to do is plug the thing into the balancing lead.

For lights using these:Kaidomain "Highly efficient" Driver or even buck pucks this seems like a cheap and worth while gadget.

I have never used one of those but there are all sorts of things around this is another one: http://cgi.ebay.com/Lipo-Flash-batte...QQcmdZViewItem

Have you managed to do any packs yet? If it's not too late I have a bit of advice....

...If you use DX cells you will notice that the + tab is under a white plastic washer, you should remove this washer then push the + tab through the center of the washer before putting the washer back where it was. This will help insulate the + tab from the - cell body.

Hope this crap drawing helps.Name: DSC00001.jpg

Well for RC stuff I use one of these.
    Click
Not sure if it would even work on a light.
The buzzer would be cool to alert you to a low Lipo battery...
I wonder if I should rig my batteries to be charged by a real charger..
    CDT

And I h ave ordered from hobbycity/king before...Paid for the SMS shipping. It's Pricey, but FAST. 4 days from HK to my door...!
