Trail Tech HID Charging: 0.7A or 1.4A Best?

    Hey guys:

I just got my Trail Tech 13W HID with the Trail Tech 3700mAh Ni-MH battery and smart charger. I was reading the instructions and it says to use the 0.7A setting on the charger for trikle charging and 1.4A for normal charging. My question is, is it better for the battery to use one over the other? If not, why would they give me this option?

On another note, I can't wait to try this thing out. When I placed the order Trail Tech didn't supply a tracking number, so I emailed their support asking for one. I never got a response, which ticked me off, so I went to the UPS website and calculated the estimated arrival date, which is this coming Monday. I was shocked to see it arrive today. Despite their customer service they sure moved that package to me quick.

Anyway, thanks for any info on this,

    -p

Use either setting. Neither is actually very high and thus not hard on the cells.

700mA is hardly a trickle charge but like jeff said, either will work just fine.
