    Speed Sensor Mounting

I just picked up a new Polar CS100 computer and I am having problems getting it to display speed, etc. I searched the forums and saw that a few other people were having the same problem but it was solved by mounting the sensor about 1mm away from the magnet. How and where can you mount the sensor on a mountain bike. The forks are a few inches away from the spokes and I can not seem to find anywhere else to get the thing that close to the magnet. Any suggestions???

I would think that you would mount the sensor on the inside leg of the fork (as close to the spokes as possible). Also, mount the magnet that goes on the spokes as close to the hub as possible- which would allow it to spin closer to the sensor on the fork)
