    SigmaSport Mirage

    Hello All

I've just stumbled in here while trying to figure out what to do about my lights and the temptation to build some lights is strong but I need to be realistic - I want some decent light and to go out riding, not spend the next 3months fiddling in the garage......maybe!

The SigmaSport Mirage lights (one 5W and one 20W halogen) have just come out of the bottom of the cupboard and the Pb battery is probably dead, definitely too heavy and without a charger anyway. I've contacted the manufacturer and I can purchase a replacement NiMH battery for about 80.

So....some recommendations please (I have a budget of say 120)

    Do I :

    • Buy the battery and spend 40 on an additional helmet light

    • Throw them in the bin and buy off the shelf

    • Buy a "self build" kit

    Thanks

    Andrew

Yeah, I had those lights back in aught three. Lights have come a LOONG way - try to get a magicshine (p7 emmiter LED iirc) and you will be blown away...LEDs are the future, and the future is now, seize the future!

    Thanks

    Fast and unanimous advice there.

I've gone ahead and ordered one.

    Can't wait now!

    Cheers.
