Noob help; how do I wire this driver?

Bought this driver for use with my new XM-L build:

Here is a couple pics of it.

I think I understand that to get the mode I want (5/30/100) I jump the third star as shown in this pic:

    Is this correct?

Now, about wiring it into the project; I assume the two leads go to the LED, right?
Then, where do the leads from the battery go?

Yes, the red and black leads are for the LED

Battery Positive goes the the spring in the middle and battery negative goes to the gold perimeter on the same side (or other side too), anywhere around on it, stick the wire through one of the holes and then solder it.

I used a similar one on my build (mine didn't have stars, Kaidomain 8x7135), I wired the switch on the negative wire between the battery and the driver.

I use the 2.8 amp version of this board.

Yes, jump the third star for 5/30/100.
You are also right about the leads going to the LED.

I solder the positive from the battery to the spring in the center. I then solder the negative to the edge of the board (with the switch wired between the board and the negative on the battery).

Bridging star #3 (as shown in the 1st linked pic) to the outer ring is correct for the 5/30/100 mode.

The pre-wired output leads are red connected to LED+ and black connected to LED-.

For the battery wiring, BATT+ connects to the spring on the driver and BATT- connects to the outer ring. You can also tie in BATT+ to the LED+ solder point if you don't want wires on the spring side of the board.

If you look at EL34's writeup on this driver:
    2800ma Multi Mode Driver Board

you see the mapped out areas that are common, front and back.

If you see here, the 3rd star can be jumped at the IC to the leg next to it
