    Non-bike Solar powered light build?

    Hi gang
My F-i-Law has asked me to make a light for a sign that will be solar powered to recharge the battery. I've never done anything with solar before so was wondering if anyone has any tips/ideas they could share?
The light is, basically, going to go on a post for a house sign and needs to light up both sides of the sign.
To be honest, I don't have a clue where to start...I've got a few spare XPG's (one 4 up) that I was thinking I could use...
    Help
    Cheers
    Steve

Google Solar Forums and you'll find plenty of resource available.
I've just been looking at something similar for a camping set up and to be honest its extremely costly. Most garden lights don't last all night and the output is minimal.
Majority of panels are costly and only maintain battery not recharge.
You could possibly redesign the sign so its lit from inside or use Perspex and side light.
This should ensure no light is wasted and means you can reduce light output and battery requirements
