Niterider Taillight w/ Homebuilt LED Light
I'm considering doing my first LED homebuilt, most likely a 2x Cree XR-E Achesalot DIY housing and a 14.8 V, 2.2 Ah lithium ion battery pack. Is there any reason why a Niterider 13.2 V taillight would not work with this? Or would the extra 1.6 V be a problem for the Niterider Taillight? Would I need to stay with a 13.2 V NiMh pack?

It wouldn't be 1.6v but closer to 3v as fully charged lithium cells are ~4.15v/cell for a total of 16.6 volts.
Call NR and ask them about the operating voltage of the rear light
