    Metal handlebar mount?

Hi, new here, lurked a few times

I see the homemade bike light scene is alive and kicking here as well as cpf and ive come across Troutie's light builds before.

Ive just built myself up a 6xpg bike light ala http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/...d.php?t=258699

Ive got it mounted on an electron bar mount at the moment and its fine but I was wondering if there was a simple bar clamp available made from metal so i can continue the thermal path to the bars?

Thanks in advance for any help.
    Craig.

*edit: Sorry forgot to mention im UK.

I like the Exposure mount but as it is a cleat system only some heat goes to the bar but it's better than none. (I have tested it) 19 ish. You can add some thermal paste to the cleat which helps.

Thanks chaps. I assume its used without the rubber bit for o/s bars then? Or by "cleat" do you mean the rubber bit lol?
    Cheers.

Then "cleat" as Exposure like to call it is the part that stays on the bottom of the light, this clips into the part that stays on the bar.

Ah ok gotcha re the "cleat"
Do you know if you have to use a rubber shim under the clamp for o/s bars? A lot of clamps have two rubber shims, one for o/s bars one for normal, not sure how many this one comes with but i want metal to metal so would need to be able to tighten it up without any shims.

It actually comes with a machined hard plastic ring to reduce the size for small bars and you don't have to use the very thin ruber supplied for OS bars as this is just for grip or to protect carbon bars.
You will require an M6 threaded hole in the bottom of the light for the cleat, bigger than usual as it is designed to hold Exposures heavier lights with built in batteries.

Doh, it has an M4 mounting hole i think. I wonder if i can replace the bolt on the cleat to an M4?
    Thanks again.

Look like Exposure does not include the cleat w/ the mount anymore

    cytoe, your right
Good job I bought mine when I did, the greedy %$&* haven't dropped the high price to take into account the missing parts. I really like these mounts but no use without the cleat.

Could be that they only want them to be used with their lights
