    Light that was abused by user

    Bit of a dont do it thread
    Dont put your led lights in your bag still connected to your battery
    it may switch on and end up like this Liberator or worse



    it easily boiled some beer when splashed on it the user said
    but amazingly it still works

    There's no thermal protection built into the current regulator?

    MaxFlex so yes thermal dimming but not thermal shutdown in his scenario

    Impressive! Besides the obvious damage to the optics, I imagine the LEDs have been significantly degraded due to overheating. A true flashaholics (can we use that term for bike lights?) would look at this at an opportunity to upgrade to the latest XP-G2s ;-)

    Pulled it to bits and the optics had melted to the led domes and pulled them off
    so new xpg2`s going in
