    Inline switch

    Hi

i was just on the battery space site trying to order 2 sets of those nice in-line switches with the led but by the time it came to add up the shipping they wanted something like $78! on a $25 order, by problem is I'm in the UK and need to find a similar solution for a switch??

So does anyone know where i can get something without the massive shipping, I don't mind ordering from anywhere in the world but $78 for postage is taking the biscuit!!

    Thanks Dan

You could try contacting Batteryspace and asking if they are prepared to send it out using USPS instead of courier.

I had exactly the same issue getting them to New Zealand. Since I now need a bunch more, I'm probably going to suck it up and pay. You can change carriers on their site, but I could only get shipping down to $50 US. Haven't been able to find them anywhere else.

Somewhere on their site they indicate that they'll send things by USPS if you declare that you don't need tracking and that you waive all rights if the package goes astray.

I'd love to find one of these that you can use your own wire on. I have a couple, but they just don't fit the small builds.

Any leads on a similar not, prebuilt unit???

    Thanks for the info Hendo,
i have gone though that site b4 and cant see the switch on there or on any of the light sets on that site.
i know the switch i linked to had their connector but is it made by them im not too sure.

If anyone else can point me in the diacetion of a switch that is inline that would help, it doesnt need to be this exact one,

    Thanks.

This question gets asked heaps and I don't believe I have ever seen anyone respond with an alternate supplier to BS.

Try your local radioshack / jaycar / electronics store. Most will sell replacement car remote alarm boxes / keyrings, you know the little black box you push the button on to unlock your car. You might get lucky and score one that is just the right size to squeeze a micro mom. or clicky switch in, depending on what your driver needs. You would probably still have room to wire in a LED to show when it is on or off, although I think your lights will do that.

Had a quick look on the Jaycar website and could only see the full remote, including workings but I have seen just the case in the store.
