    housing suggestions

I want to build a light but i dont have access to a cnc mill or any other equipment like that. For a helmet light i was thinking about using cheap aluminum flashlight housings but im nopt sure how well they willget rid of exxcessive heat. for a barlight i really have no idea of what to use. I was also wondering if i had cad plans for a housing if there is anywhere id be able to send them to get the housing milled?

Take a look at the Sled lights. Hand tools and a drill press are all you need.

Potentially interesting product. Do you happen to have more details on it, in particular measurements?

And the original thread on sled lights here.
There was a good thread recently highlighting the people offering DIY housings - ah, just found it.
Besides Amoeba, who else is selling DIYs?

For a starter you could buy one of these kits from me

also comes with a small tube of this wonderfull glue

or just the housing and source your own bits

only tools needed are a screwdriver , soldering iron
wet and dry and files to finish the case

Edit have gone off using the Regina and now use the Lauras
