Help me rebuild my L&M battery

Would someone mind helping me rebuild the battery for my ARC? I'm capable of doing the soldering but someone will need to help me choose/source the batteries and give me basic direction on what to do. I believe what I have is a 10.8vv NiMH (its the skinny one with the rubber cover) and I would like to make something with a longer run time.

From the wayback machine for building NiMH batteries:

The info on the cells are still valid. You want nine 4/3A cells. Top capacity available is 4500mAh but you can get 4000mAh at a substantial discount at the link below. There is also a weight penalty.

So just tear that old battery apart (it's already broke so don't worry about breaking it), wire it the same way and rewrap in the plastic cover with RTV silicone to seal.
