    First triple xml light

Its been done on a manual lathe and manual mill. Theres still alot of machining to do yet so it should be abit slimmer when finished.

The driver is 33mm and optic is 35mm, not sure about weight yet.

    looks very nice.
want to try an xml build but its just getting round to it and it looks like i'll have to use a 35mm optic. been trying to find a triple setup on a 20mm board for carlco type optics like my xpg build.

I doubt that if an XML fit triple optics that small that the beam would be worth a darn for biking.

That seems to be my thoughts to Vancbiker.
Just wanted to try and make a real small 6 up.
May just try and design up 2 small lights 3up each and the driver in one of them.

holly cow, that's very impressive for a first light! I don't think you'll have much of a problem with heat there

I can imagine! It would take me longer than your lunch break just to get something set up to start machining Keep up with the build photos, this is like light building by proxy!

Nice looking light! Did you just glue in the green LED on the back? I can never tell scale from the pictures, what did the overall dimensions end up being at?

    pucked up

Damn nice work! I would love to get laid and a mill!!
    That's an interesting combination.

Very nice indeed. Nice machine work. I suspect it won't be your last build. It's addictive.

ooh wow, that's a change. Ditto what Vancbiker said, it's a win win!

@The Understater - there's never such a thing as a "last build", the universe does not allow it

I will be making more in the future! When i get a bench lathe and mill in the garage next year. I can see how it can become addictive.
