Edge 305 constantly reading off then back on course?

I have a few courses set up now on the 305 that were set after initial rides of the course. When I go to repeat the course (road), I constantly get a "off course " and then a few seconds it reads "on course" again. I am not leaving the designated course, and it must have done this 40+ times in 31 miles today. Very frustrating to say the elast. Anyone else having this problem?

Never had that problem, and I use mine about 2 hours a day at least. Have you updated to the latest firmware and radio software?

Firmware, etc. all up to date, signal is reading "excellent". I'm also only getting 1/2 the rated battery life. Taking it back to have it exchanged this week. Hopefully I'll have better luck the second time around.

If you ride the same loop or whatever multiple times, you will find the tracks will vary by the accuracy measurement (I have mine set to show that in the map screen). Mine is typically around 19-23 feet accuracy (my 60CSX runs 8-12 feet with its helix antenna vs the Edge patch antenna). That alone could give you the "off course" reading, and then comes back.

I only have one course in mine, and have never followed it. I had intended it as my standard training loop, but injuries have kept me from riding that up/down, bump and sweat killer this year, so my thoughts above are not direct experience, just conjecture.
