    DIY lens for flashlight...

I have been trying to decide on a new light for my current bike build and although there are many nice lights out there I still feel like my Fenix TK22 tactical flashlight is just as good.
That said, the only thing about the light is that it blinds oncoming drivers. So I was wondering if there would be a way to make a lens that would spread the beam out wider, hopefully making it so that it would be a little less annoying to drivers coming toward me.

    Any suggestions?

Some flashlight users make a "hood" that projects a couple inches at the top of the light. This minimizes how much light gets thrown upward.

Check dealextreme's selection of lenses, you may find a diffuser that will fit, eg:

If you search this forum and the lights and night riding forum you should find a few threads on the subject.
