... and if we just ... DIY Battery/Charger combo deal

I'm planning on doing a triple Cree XR-E Q5, I'm still debating on what controler boards to go with, any suggestions that would fit are greatly appreciated.

I found this battery pack with the charger and conectors. Has anyone found a better deal?

Hi, Well I suppose that almost all people said that you buy the Bflex circuit controller by your possibilites about different current regulations.

I always use the light to maximum power and I use a constant current circuit to 1A, I bought this circuit to www.dotlight.de you can see the characteristics of this circuits to www.constant-current.com

    How about this from www.All-battery.com:
    Battery: http://www.all-battery.com/index.asp...ROD&ProdID=509
    Charger: http://www.all-battery.com/index.asp...ROD&ProdID=537
    Total comes to $54.94

I just bought a few of these, significantly lighter and more compact for the same (actually more) power.

Can't vouch for the quality as 1 of the 5 packs I bought seems to be dead, but haven't followed up with all-battery for troubleshooting help or replacement yet (only opened the box yesterday).

Good price, that would be 60ish delivered. It seems that they have a pretty good return/warrenty policy too. If you care to, please post the results of your return. Thanks again for the infor

    TrekJeff,
Did you end up buying the battery and charger suggested by dsut4392 from all-battery? I'm gathering the parts to build my triple Cree and the only thing I have left to order is the battery. I was wondering how much run time you get using this battery? I was hoping to get about 4hrs of run time from this particular battery. Also, where did you buy the connector cables? Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Blue, I have yet to buy. I've ordered my controller and currently fabing the housing with copper and sweating the pieces together. I recieved my reflectors last week, they're 9degrees so I'm angling the housing so that the light cones overlap on the edges, giving me a well lit path. When it's done I'll post a pic.
I'm actually leaning toward this set up for the battery. Just looks a bit cleaner and has all the connectors you'll need.

I have bought the 14.4V 5ah NiMH version of the water bottle battery from Batteryspace and have been happy with it. Wish I would have gone for the "lighter" Li-Ion one. One thing that strikes me about the picture of the Li-Ion version that you have posted. It doesn't look like the water bottle has a "depression" towards the upper portion that engages the bottle cage to help lock it in. May just be the picture. May not be an issue for you. Here is a link to the NiMH version http://www.batteryspace.com/index.as...OD&ProdID=2462 See the difference?

i have been using the http://www.all-battery.com/index.asp...OD&ProdID=1149 for the past 3 months with no problems.

It makes my 6 SCC P4 led's on for over 2 hours. I haven't ran it dead yet but have been on a couple of 2 hour rides and didn't have to worry about it.
