    Cygolite Zforce HID

    Greetings from Michigan,

I have a Cygolite ZForce HID light that I purchased several years ago. It's a great light but sadly, the battery will no longer hold a charge. It's a 12 volt NiCad battery. I was hoping I could cobble together a working battery with this: 12V Tenergy 2000mAh NiMH Battery Pack with Bare Leads for RC Airplanes: Toys & Games

I plan to stuff the Amazon battery into the original battery holder (see pic) and wire the leads appropriately. Then use a $20 charger to keep it juiced.

Any chance that this will all work? Comments / advice appreciated.

As long as it fits in the holder and you have a NiMH charger you ought to be fine.

If you haven't purchased the charger yet then you might think of buying one of the many magic shine LED light systems out there.

All should be smaller, lighter, brighter, and have longer run times.

    Good luck.
