    Thanks Scar.

Don't these new XP-G2 and XP-E2 LEDs use the same technology as the XT-E and XB-D models? If so, I just re-read the XT-E thread and it looks like there are quite a few problems with color and beam coverage.

Does anyone know what differences or improvements have been made to the 2 series versus the XTE / XBD models?

The problem with the XT-E was its faceted die, the XP-G and E both have a nice flat die, and from what I have see do not have any of the icky color problems of the XT-E.

I couldn't wait and went with XTE for the MTB a few months back. No complaints.
E2 for my next road build though.

Cutter.com.au (Welight here on this forum) has hinted it was soon - they popped the XP-G2 on us a few months back.

It's one of those things where they like to wait til they have them in stock before telling us. Which makes sense from a "here they are, come get em" standpoint.

one of my lights may change plans then to use taskled board. Unless a 334 board from Lux RC offers this new LED.

I just ordered 42 xt-e in 4000K from cutter to light up a wood shop. I am hoping they look good. They are so cheap. From a cost perspective they win big.

how does the 3D bin compare ?
just hard for me to make sense of the the color binning.

the other thing I noticed, there is a color/kelvin shift, depending on amount of current.

You know this was released because I just finished up an XP-E 1 light recently.

The XP-E2 triple should be a great thrower with Carclo optics, and will fit in an Easy2LED housing nicely with standard back cap.
Cutter (or you if you're careful) can wire it in parallel for use with an l-flex and 3.7v battery, or you can solder it in series for a 3S 1P l-flex system.
