I found a nice old housing that I'm trying to resurrect. it's an older dual MR-11 job, and I need some light engines to drop into it. I havn't found much, but I'd like to see if anyone has any other, erm, bright ideas.
it's fairly deep (prolly 25mm total including optics with a reasonably sized slug), and I've got reasonably good heatsinking on it. I would really like integrated light engines though, since it would be very difficult to access a driver at the back of the light once the heatsinks are installed. otherwise I would just be cramming a bunch of my leftover XRE's in there and calling it a day.
brighter is always better. hoping for somewhere in the 700-800 lumen range per side. I was looking at the quiccpower MCE boards from cutter, but I know theres a ton of nice 3-up boards out there too that may work better, and the MCE boards are a little $$ it seems...
power-wise, I have a bunch of 3s lithium packs (11.1V nominal), but I'm not opposed to series linking them together to make a 6s pack if need be.
thanks in advance for any suggestions. I've had this thing sitting on my desk for a few weeks and I want to get it fired up...
