    AY UP! Lights

Anybody know about these lights ?~?

    AY UP! Lighting Systems

Was looking at Trinewts but found AY UP!

They say Trinewts are 490 Lumens.... how many lumens will a 3 watt Luxeon III LED give ?~?

They are going to be provding CREE Leds in a week or so. (site says 15th). When they're available, I'm going to order some. There is a thread in this section that tells you a little more about ayup.

Thanks I should have searched first.

A bloke I rode with last night got these lights and they looked pretty cool. He had a set on the helmet and a set on the bars.

How bright were they? I've never seen or used a pair but they look sweet. The new lights are supposed to be 200 lumens brighter per light. Over 400 Lumens more than the ones you saw last night (assuming those werent upgraded to the new led's) with a set on the bars and helmet!

I have two 10w 6v halogens at 7.4 volts with high quality reflectors...

The Ay Up lights were better overall than mine. My set-up offered a wider beam pattern and thought the Ay Up's were not all that wide, but they penetrated in the centre much better. They certainly had a blue tinge compared to my halogens.

I am not sure they were all that bright enough to justify an upgrade for me.... but if the new models coming out are much brighter it definitely would be worth it.

    Help !~!
I need education, I'm old school please .....

    What is Cree ?~?

About how many lumens would my current lights have ?~?

Will the Cree Ay Ups be brighter than Trinewts and how many lumens ?~?

    Thanks for any help

The search function is your friend

over 3 pages of posts about Ay-Ups here:

Ayup has their webstore up, interesting lightset

New Ay-Ups will be available shortly with the newer Cree P4 emitters (LED 'bulbs') and producing over 500 lumen (their own claim!)

I've had mine for about 6 months (the older Luxeon emitters) and are very happy but have allready ordered the updated ones (special price for existing owners)
