Would have loved to swap mine for the better anodised finish of 2013. I see in 2014 they have reverted back to a black on white color scheme for some reason?

Tested 2013 model for a day in bikepark last autumn. It's really fun and stable when jumped. I did some gaps in that sizerange and no problem, just fun.

2014 has the best paint scheme IMO. Raw ftw!

Anyone seeing any deals on 2013 Satoris yet? I don't believe the 2014 model is available until November (per Kona's website). As a noob, I'm looking to buy a discontinued model. Bang for the buck is my primary goal right now.

TG - nice to see another colorado rider enjoying this bike. It punches above it's weight and pricepoint more than any other bike i've ridden or demoed. Just when I think I should look for something new - i.e. - maybe a couple lb's lighter, more "high tech' this and that - i go out and it just slays everything - climbing traction is great, it manuals so easy, its so nimble with the short CS and slack geo, and will go over everything whether up or down - not to mention has saved my bacon a bunch due to bad lines, rider errors etc... nice to see the 2014 bike didnt change - just spec'd better for same price! go get em!

Agree! That raw does look great...learn me on this though- how does the swing link compare with other systems like Niner's CVA or the DW split pivot that Salsa is employing on the 2014s? Anyone have experience with these? I have had zero turns on any of them...

    what he asked

looking to pick up a Satori 2013 as I have a limited budget, no means to demo a bunch of different bikes (also considering the Bandit 29)

I rode a Banshee Prime and enjoyed, but l will be able to get onto a used satori for ~$2k, seems too good to pass up. Don't think I can score a Bandit for that price. Def not a Prime.

Also, I am 5'9 30" pant inseam. Usually default to a M frame in most bikes, but seems some are saying Satori runs large ... might I be a Small?

    Thanks

    I'm 5'6" w a 29 inc inseam on a small. It fits well. I ride with a 50mm easton 350 stem and 780mm wide 350 bar combo.

You should fit a medium well.
