    Who rides a 16" Kona Unit 29er???

I'm looking for feedback on fit/sizing.

    I'm 5'9" tall and considering buying a 16" Unit 29er frame.

Would love to hear from others who are riding 16" frames as to their height and how the frame fits etc.

    Thanks.

    Mark

I'd be interested in this as well. I'm 5'7" and looking to buy either a 16 or 18" Big Kahuna 29er.

I'm 5'6", and I'm on 18" with 70mm stem. With 70mm stem, my reach is little shorter than 16", but with longer wheelbase of 18". I wanted a longer wheelbase, and with 20t cog, 18" frame worked out well for me.

    Unit

I am 5 foot 6.5 inches 30 inch inseam or less. I ride a 16 with a 75mm stem and a thomson setback seatpost. This gives me aprox 29 1/2 inches from center of stem to the back of the seat when at my max pedalling height. It feels great and i can ride very agressive. with lots of standover if you are taller than me and have a longer reach than i think 18 might be better.

ps its a great bike one of my favorites (least expensive) of the 10 bikes i have had in the last 10 years.

Finished my build over the weekend:

    16" 2011 Kona Unit
    36:18 for pavement/gravel/rail trails
32:22 on the inside for doubletrack/singletrack

A mishmash of parts, but a pretty fun ride!
