Transition Bandet/Kona Satori.......Whats the diff?
They look the same......(I ride a Satori and dig it.)
Travel 130 vs 120mm.Suspension design, the Bandit use a lower pivot posn and antisquat with a regressive/ progressive design and Satori has a higher pivot and antisquat with a progressive design. From point of sag the progression is almost the same. How they ride in comparison? Maybe someone has ridden both.
Transition Bandit 29'' 2012 - Linkage Design
From what I can gather from reviewws is The bandit frame is lighter but may suffer fraom flex?
Geometry bandit 1 deg steeper From memory. IMHO spot on trail geometry. I use My Satori for trail and actually prefer to run it with a 120 fork for that reason.
I considered both at the time of purchase and went with the Covert 29er. I haven't regretted a penny of my purchase and have put over 2000 miles offroad on it last year. The bike shines pointed down and climbs pretty well. I say pretty well because I'm running Minnion DHF 2.5 up front and Ardent 2.4 out back I pay on the climb for that...
I haven't followed the Bandit since they steepened the front end. I'm sure the Satori is a good bike. They look really close on paper...Transition customer service is legendary and 2nd to NONE!!! I've called with dumb questions, more than once, and they answer the phone during hours and emails within a day. Crazy fast for todays bike companies.
