    Tanuki Size

    Hello.

I'm buying a Tanuki 2011, and I'm 1.77m (5,8), and I wanted to know what size do you guy think I should buy a 16" or a 18", the 17" is not available anymore...

I'm 5"10 with a 30" inseam and am thinking about the 16. All the measurements compare well with my giant hardtail.

I was thinking in the 16" to but the tech at kona's forum told me he was my size and he was using a 18" so now I don't really know what wich one I will chose...

Im looking at the same thing as well. I am 5'8", 30" inseam. Im really thinking the 16" is the way to go for me for two reasons. 1) the specs seem a better match to my '09 17" Stumpy Marathon 29er (perfect fit for me), and 2) the bike would better fit a friend who may occasionally borrow the bike. I would pick the 17" too, if it were available. Between the 16" and 18", Id rather err on the small side.

The Tanuki DL on Dept of Goods / is too good a deal to pass up!

I can't decide what I'm going to do. All signs point to the 16" but my brain says "maybe its too small"

I agree, that's an awesome price.

go 16. sizing down will make the bike more manuverable. theres 130 mm travel too so it will stand a little taller. im 5'9'' and ride an 18 and i feel like i could use a 17. but the 18 is perfectly fine.

My 19" should be coming in beginning of next week. I was looking on Kona's website and the 2011 doesn't even have the 19" as a size on the specs sheet.

Why is that? Shouldn't the Kona specs have the 19" if it's being offered. It just caught me off guard and was wondering if it truely is a 2011. The 2012 has the 19" listed as an option but not the 2011. Am I missing something?

    Good job!

I verified with Kona via Email and they are indeed 2011 Tanuki Deluxe from Huck.

I did not ask why Kona did not show a 19" inch frame size?
