Reviews of the Kona Magic 6+1 system?
I haven't heard much of this...was hoping some folks out there can offer their thoughts on the operation of the design.
A bloke in this topic claims his LBS has the new Coilairs in stock.I'm not really sure about it though since according to the info from Kona Europe they won't be available for some time.
I can write a review as soon as I get hands on one, but it might take some time to get there...In theory it should work the way it's supposed to.The thing that interests me most is how it will behave in pedally bumpy stuff, will the magic link wallow back&forth or stay in one setting. To some degree you'll be able to customise the magic link behaviour by preloading its spring, but will that just move the above mentioned possible "grey area" to some other type of terrain or eliminate it?Questions, questions...
I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.
I figured I should call my LBS to check what the deal was because I didn't ask anything about the bike when I was there. The Coilair that was at the shop was one of the final prototypes from Kona...it was there just for display. I guess I could have ridden it to see what it was like but I wasn't too interested so I didn't. They don't expect to see the production verions at the shop here in Canada until Feb-March.

squish is good
Yeah, I too am curious. I read a little bit about it in BIKE this month but thats the first I've heard of it. Usually if a new suspension design is coming out it's all over this board but I haven't heard a squeak about this one. They don't even have anything on their website about it even though the '08 bikes are posted.
it's the ride....
interestingly it was launched on July (..??) if I m not mistaken, that is almost half year ago... wonder what has been going on in Kona to make the bike available for curious riders like you all..
